The Austin Bruins have tendered two players — Jason Dzurik of Delano, Minn. and James Wilt of the Russell Stover Midget program in Kansas City, Missouri.
Dzurik played for Class ‘A’ Delano as a goalie, and Wilt, a defenseman, played in the national semifinals with Russell Stover.
“Jason is a very composed and confident goalie who specializes in limiting the opponent’s second chances,” Bruins PR director Nick Laurila said. “James is a big mobile defender who will use his body and move the puck very well.”
As an expansion team, Austin was given 17 tenders to use this offseason. Tendered players are signed to the squad, but are not guaranteed spots until after training camp.
The Bruins will open their inaugural NAHL season at Riverside Arena this September.
