Pitcher — Erica Manske, Blooming Prairie

The junior hurler had more strikeouts (201) than combined hits (81) and walks (56) in 150 innings pitched. She had an ERA of 1.16 and opponents hit just .131 against Manske, who was second team All-State. BP (23-4 overall) advanced to the Class ‘A’ state softball tournament.

Catcher — Brandi Ruroden, Austin

The junior hit .242 with 2 doubles, 7 RBIs and 9 runs for the Packers (5-15 overall).

First base — Anna Peterson, Blooming Prairie

The senior slap-hitter, who made the switch from center field to first base this year, hit .458 with 7 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homer, 31 RBIs, and 39 runs.

Second base — Kelly Peterson, Blooming Prairie

The senior hit .451 with 7 doubles, 1 triple, 27 RBIs, and 20 runs. Peterson, who made the switch from catcher to second this year, was second team All-State.

Shortstop — Tayla Jones, Blooming Prairie

The junior provided the power for BP as she hit .475 with 11 doubles, 2 triples, 3 homeruns, 27 RBIs, 29 runs, and 12 stolen bases.

Third base —Whitney Bamrick, Southland

The junior, who actually played shortstop for the Rebels (9-12 overall), hit .483 with 1 triple, 17 RBIs and 14 runs while playing solid defense all season.

Outfield — Sara Sundberg, Austin

The senior hit .281 with a team-leading slugging percentage of .406. Sundberg had 4 doubles, 2 triples, 8 RBIs, and scored 8 runs, while going 12-for-15 on steals for the Packers.

Outfield — Tricia DeBoer, Blooming Prairie

The sophomore slap-hitter hit .476 with 2 doubles, 43 runs and 32 stolen bases.

Outfield — Jana Schammel, Southland

The freshman center fielder hit .403 with 2 homeruns, 2 doubles, 1 triple, 11 RBIs, 21 runs, and three stolen bases.

Honorable mention

Pitcher — Marie Clennon, Austin

Despite a record of 4-13 overall, the sophomore hurler maintained an ERA of 2.06. She allowed 134 hits and 50 walks in 109 innings, while striking out 75.

First base — Robin Arjes, Austin

The senior hit .278 with 4 doubles, 8 RBIs and 6 runs, while going 6-for-7 on steals.

First base — Brandi Schammel, Southland

The junior hit .333 with 2 doubles, 3 triples, 10 RBIs and 10 runs.

DP — Jenna Juenger, Southland

While mostly hitting as a designated player, the senior hit .500 with 5 homeruns, 4 doubles, 25 RBIs and 18 runs.

Shortstop — Dani Wagner, Hayfield

While only an eighth grader, the second-year starter hit .344 with 3 homeruns, 4 doubles, 13 RBIs and scored 14 runs. Wagner had an on-base percentage of .467 and a fielding percentage of .887 for Hayfield (5-16 overall).

Third base — Renee Stier, Hayfield

The senior played solid defense for the Vikings, while hitting .255 with 2 doubles, 3 triples and 10 runs.

Haley Meyer, catcher, Lyle/Pacelli

The senior hit .271 with an on-base percentage of .455 while scoring nine runs for L/P (3-15 overall).
