The Austin baseball team lost its regular season finale 9-2 at Albert Lea Tuesday.
The Packers (4-16 overall, 3-14 Big Nine) had runners on second and third with no outs in the top of the first but scored just once as they had only three hits all day.
“We just didn’t hit the ball today and it hurt to just get one run in the first,” Austin head Troy Watkins said.
The Tigers (14-6 overall, 12-6 Big Nine) scored five runs in the fifth to make it 7-1.
Austin will open the playoffs with an elimination game Saturday.
