Terry Folie

Terry David Folie, 59, died Monday, April 19, 2010, of a heart attack while visiting his son in Alabama on his big Harley road trip.
Terry was raised in Clarks Grove. As a graduate of Albert Lea High School, Terry went on to the Navy and served in Vietnam. Other occupations he held included supervisor at Farmland Foods, over-the-road truck driver, self-employed as owner of Folie Construction.
Terry loved his family and friends and spending his time grilling, fishing, boating, camping, gardening, woodworking, stargazing and being a grandpa. Terry was a proud owner of a Harley Davidson and could often be found giving rides and visiting Sturgis.
Terry was proceeded in death by his parents, Adele and Phillip Folie; and his nephew, Chad Wilson.
He is survivied by his wife and partner of 30 years, Janie Folie; sons, Matthew and Phillip Folie and Kevin Akiyoshi; sisters, Marie Wilson and Mary Wilson; brother, Jim Folie; grandchildren, Marcus, Axel and Zachary Folie; daughter-in-law, Julie Folie; and friends, Denny Schneider, Johnny Grant, Dave Mines; best friends, Bill and Trudy Banks; and many others too numerous to mention.
A memorial service will be held outside East Freeborn Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. All are welcome to attend.
