Rosanne Johnson

Rosanne (Baas) Johnson, 61, of Emmons, Minn. died Sunday morning, May 9, 2010 at her home in Emmons.
Rosanne was born May 16, 1948 in Albert Lea, Minn., the daughter of Henry and Gwendoline (Frost) Baas Jr. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1966. Over the years, she had been employed working in the sugar beet fields in Hollandale, Minn., at the Woolworths and Montgomery Wards during high school, Miami Margarine; and she managed Budget Oil Gas Station and worked at Southtown Liquor and for the Streator Co. for 19 years.
Rosanne was united in marriage to Bradly Johnson on June 18, 2004 in Albert Lea. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church where she served as a deacon and helped with Bible school. Rosanne was a member of the Susan B. Komen for Breast Cancer and the American Institute for Cancer Research.
She loved gatherings with family, bonfires in the backyard, going to her grandchildren’s soccer, hockey and football games and taking pictures of all the wildlife in their backyard. She especially enjoyed decorating her home and the church for Christmas along with caroling to the residents at the nursing homes. Rosanne loved her time spent traveling and antique-ing with Brad.
Rosanne is survived by her mother, Gwendoline Baas of Albert Lea, Minn.; husband, Brad of Albert Lea, Minn.; children, Jason Baas of Albert Lea, Minn., Angela (Chris) Cluckey of Albert Lea, Minn., Michelle Rothmeier of Albert Lea, Minn., Zachary Johnson of Austin and Jordan Johnson of Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren, Lindsey, Jordan, Meagan, Derek, Hannah, Reese and Alexis; brothers and sisters, Pauline Baas of Albert Lea, Minn., Maxine (Richard) Holty of Albert Lea, Minn., Thomas (Debbie) Baas of Albert Lea, Minn., and Jerri (Dawn) Baas of Albert Lea, Minn.
She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Baas, Jr.; grandparents; aunts; uncles; and cousins.
Rosanne tried to live life day by day and gave her troubles to the Lord to decide what was best.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Albert Lea. Pastor Clayton Balsley will officiate. Friends may call Wednesday evening from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Memorials preferred to the Susan B Komen Breast Cancer Fund or the American Institute for Cancer Research.
