Austin took down No. 5 seeded Lakeville South 7-0 in the first round of the Section 1AA boys tennis tournament at Paulson tennis courts Tuesday.

Austin didn’t drop a set as it swept every match.

Josh Detwiler cruised with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

“Josh played a very consistent game and when the opportunity rose he put balls away,” Austin head coach Tom Tauchnitz said. “Josh plays so many good players during the year and that has continued his growth as a player.”

The fourth-seeded Packers will play at No. 1 Northfield Thursday at 4 p.m.

Austin also took fourth place at the Big Nine Invite Saturday.
