The Lyle/Pacelli baseball team lost to Mabel/Canton 8-1 on the road Monday.

M/C scored six runs in the first three innings and L/P (2-8 overall) had just three hits.

“We gave up too much, too soon,” L/P head coach Reid Olson said. “We also had too many baserunning mistakes.”

Kenneth Gray pitched three quality relief innings for L/P, allowing just one earned run.

“Kenneth did a great job of settling us down and he got in a rhythm right away,” Olson said.
