Donna M. Holmen, 74, of LeRoy died Saturday, May 15, 2010 at the Rochester Golden Living Center.
She was born Aug. 12, 1935 to Lou and Agnes (Noble) Miller and attended high school in Rose Creek, Minn. On Oct. 19, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert D. Holmen in Austin and together they raised three children. Donna was a homemaker and a wonderful cook. She enjoyed quilting with the Ladies of the LeRoy Lutheran Church where she was a member for many years; she was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in LeRoy and the VFW Auxiliary in Austin.
She is survived by her children: Robert Jr. and wife Cecile Holmen of Eyota, Lori and Husband Glen Frazer Jr. of Portage, Wis. and Kevin Holmen of Adams, Minn.; three grandchildren, Brandon (Nicole) Frazer, Michael (Heather) Frazer and Matthew (Laurel) Frazer; five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Zachary, Alexis, Katelyn and Ashlyn; two sisters, Emma Heimer and Helen Johnson, both of Austin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob, in 2007; two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the LeRoy Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. Elaine Siemsen officiating. Burial will take place in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 19 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hindt Funeral Home in LeRoy and will continue on Thursday at the church for one hour prior to the service.
