Mankato East (10-8 overall) topped the Austin softball team 10-0 in six innings in Mankato Wednesday.

The Packers (3-13 overall, 2-11 Big Nine) mustered five hits in the loss.

“East is really coming on strong and they’re hitting the ball well right now,” Austin head coach Tina Strauss said. “They’ll probably be at the top of their section.”

Marie Clennon pitched five innings in the loss and Jennifer Yocom pitched one inning in relief.
