Two Riverland Community College athletes were honored recently.

Kyle Young was selected NJCAA Division III baseball player of the week and Autumn Jurgensen was selected MCAC Southern Division pitcher of the week.

Jurgensen, who is from Austin, went 2-1 last week with an ERA of 1.66 and 11 strikeouts.

Young, who is from Forest Lake, hit .737 (14-for-19) last week with six home runs, a double, a triple and 16 RBIs.
