The 2010 Sharp Shooter Girls Basketball Camp will be held this summer at Austin High School and is designed for both the first time camper as well as the player with previous camp and playing experience.

The camp will emphasize the development of each individuals basketball fundamentals, administered with a positive and fun approach to learning. A lot of emphasis will be given to shooting technique and learning offensive skills.

The camp will be directed by Austin Packers head varsity girls basketball coach Gary Peterson and assistant coaches Kelly Schwenn, Gina Swift, and Tammy Wiste. The girls will also be guided by varsity, B and C squad players who have participated in the Sharp Shooter Camps in the past.

The girls will compete in many different fun activities with ribbons, t-shirts, certificates, various prizes and other awards being given daily and at the awards ceremony following the final day’s camp activities.

“We will try to give your daughter a great basketball experience at the lowest possible cost,” Peterson said. “We will work with any family that cannot afford the camp by using alternative arrangements. We strive to give every player the opportunity to have fun and learn at this year’s Sharp Shooter Camp.”

The camp runs from June 7-11 for grades fifth through ninth grade with camp times running from 1:15 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost of the camp, which is separated into different grade levels, is $35.
