The Hayfield baseball team dropped a pair of games to Rochester Lourdes (3-0 overall) by scores of 2-0 and 6-2 in Hayfield Tuesday.

The Vikings (1-2 overall, 1-2 HVL) had just two hits in the first game. Evan Bungum doubled to lead off the second inning, but Hayfield could do no more.

“Lourdes is very solid on defense and they’ve got good pitching,” Hayfield head coach Craig Selk said. “We just couldn’t get a clutch hit.”

In the second game, Hayfield pitchers allowed 13 walks.
