Larry Minear

Larry Grover Minear, 65, of Emmons died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Larry Grover Minear was born on May 9, 1944 to Forest and Margaret (Salisbury) Minear in Minneapolis. He grew up on a farm outside of Glenville. Larry graduated from Glenville High School. On Aug. 8 1961, he married Carol Peterson and together they had three children. Larry worked at Wilson & Co. for 13 years. Later, Larry married Pam Barnes at Lunder Lutheran Church. Larry went to work for Winnebago as a punch press operator for 12 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and in more recent years, Larry enjoyed playing on the computer.
Survivors include his children, Chelle (Jeff) Jacobson and their children, Jesse and Lisa, Forrie (Lori) Minear and step-child, Roger (Molly) Sward, Matt (Debbie) Minear and their children, Stephanie, Neysa, Jacob Odden and Derek Minear; four great-grandchildren; brother, Lenny (Joy) Minear; sister-in-law, Diane Minear; and many nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother Loren Minear; niece Laurie Hagen; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Kent Otterman will officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 23 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
