Cardinals knock off Rebels with walkoff home run
The Southland baseball team couldn’t hang on in an 8-7 loss at Lewiston/Altura Tuesday.
Lucas Kalis drilled a one-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh to win the game for the Cardinals (3-4 overall).
The Rebels (3-3 overall) had just five hits in the loss.
“We’re just not hitting the ball well,” Southland Scott Retterath said. “You’ve got to hit to win and we’re not doing that very well right now.”
