Arlene Hein

Arlene E. Hein, 87, of Austin died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at the Austin Medical Center.
She was born Jan. 31, 1923 in Connorsville, Wis. Arlene grew up in Connorsville and graduated from Connorsville High School. She attended college in Eau Claire, Wis. and earned her teaching degree. Arlene taught school in Connorsville and in Austin at St. John’s School from 1955 until 1967 and at Holy Cross School from 1967 to 1985. On June 14, 1947, Arlene married Jerauld C. Hein in Connorsville. She was a member of Holy Cross Church in Austin and belonged to Holy Cross Ladies Aid, Y Matrons, Sons of Norway; and was on several local boards. Arlene loved to travel, spending winters in Texas, enjoyed genealogy, and taking the grandchildren on vacations and camping.
Survivors include two daughters; Rena (Laurence) Langowski of Austin and April (Steven) Morgan of Brownsdale, Minn.; one son, Mitchell Hein of Key West, Fla.;  four grandchildren, Alana, Martha, Cara and Elizabeth; three great-grandchildren, Samuel, Ella and Ava; two sisters-in-law, Eunice Alberts of Groton, S.D. and Margaret Hein of Lakeville, Minn.; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son Jeffrey; one brother and one sister.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday April 21, 2010 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Vicar Brian Krueger officiating. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening and one hour before the service at church. Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Holy Cross Church.
