Pearl Rosvald

Pearl Joranger Rosvald, 93, of Rochester and formerly of Wanamingo, a resident of Maple Manor Nursing Home, died Monday, March 15, 2010 at the home.
Pearl Muriel Joranger was born March 24, 1916 in Wanamingo, the only child of Andrew and Clara Joranger. On Sept. 28, 1940, she married Olaf M. Rosvald at Wanamingo Lutheran Church. Pearl enjoyed music all her life and served as church organist at Wanamingo Lutheran Church, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Lyle, Minn. and at Bethel Lutheran Church in Rochester.
She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte (David) Anderson of Adams and Phyllis Hove of Phoenix, Ariz; five grandchildren, Brenda (Terry) Vrieze of Rochester, Scott Anderson of Adams, Rev. Kristen Anderson of Saint Cloud, Dawn Hove of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Kent (Linda) Anderson of Adams; and seven great-grandchildren, Garrett Vrieze of Kasson, Colin, Courtney and Brittany Vrieze of Rochester, Katie Anderson of Austin, and Alex and Jacob Anderson of Adams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Olaf on Aug. 21, 2000; and a great-grandson, Taylor.
A funeral was held Saturday, March 20 at Bethel Lutheran Church with Pastor Andrew Nelson officiating. Burial was in Wanamingo Lutheran Cemetery.
