Pacelli music students earned high rankings at Monday’s Minnesota State High School League Section “A” Solo and Small Ensemble Music Competition at Riverland Community College.

Soloists earning a “Superior Rating” were Michael Bergstrom, Stephanie Kasel, Abby Leif, Emily Leif, Halla Nelson, Thomas Mueller, Colton Scherer, Jessica Tan, and Kelsey Williams. An “Excellent Rating” was earned by Justin Servellon.

The Pacelli Women’s ensemble, Amy Johnson, Stephanie Kasel, Abby Leif, Emily Leif, Halla Nelson, Paige Smith, Jessica Tan and Kelsey Williams, also earned a “Superior Rating.”

The Pacelli Singers, Michael Bergstrom, Alex Brennan, Max Brennan, Brett Kraemer, Michael Lonergan, Thomas Mueller, Colton Scherer, Amy Johnson, Stephanie Kasel, Abby Leif, Emily Leif, Halla Nelson, Paige Smith, Jessica Tan and Kelsey Williams received a “Superior Rating” and earned a perfect score of 40. They were also awarded the “Best in Site,” an honor reserved for the best singers a judge hears in a competition.

These students are under the direction of choral director, Kelsey Korfhage.
