Doris Marion Olson, 81, of Spring Valley died on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Bethesda Pleasant View in Willmar, Minn.
Doris Marion Hanson was born on May 19, 1928 to Oscar and Petra Hanson in Lanesboro, Minn. She married Charles Raymond Peterson on Nov. 11, 1946. After 25 years of marriage and seven children, they parted and went their own ways. Doris later met LeVern P. Olson and they married on May 14, 1983.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys; her brothers Gordon, Howard and Carroll; and also by husbands, Charles Peterson and LeVern Olson.
Doris is survived by her seven children, Larry Peterson, South Beloit, Ill., Sandra (Denis) Anderson, Willmar, Minn., Diana (Kurt) Roser, Garden Valley, Calif., David (LuAnne) Peterson, Fort Worth, Texas, Cynthia Peterson, Rochester, Minn., Greg (Sandy) Peterson, South Beloit, Ill., Susan (Dave) Garry, South Beloit, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lanesboro with the Rev. Kerry Eversole officiating. Burial will be in the Lanesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Lunch will be served at the church following interment.
