Beverly Schabert

Beverly Lorraine Schabert, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 11, 2010 in the presence of her family at her home in Austin. 
She was born Dec. 4, 1930 to Elzy and Florence (Brimacomb) Olson in Austin. Bev began work at Geo. A. Hormel & Company in 1950 after graduation from Austin High School in 1949. She married Harvey Iverson and gave birth to two daughters. Bev and Harvey were later divorced.  On May 8, 1982, she married Allan Schabert of Austin at Crane Chapel. They enjoyed their home and horses while living north of the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center. She retired from Hormel in 1988, from the dry sausage area.Bev enjoyed being with family and friends. She found solace in crocheting doilies and afghans, sewing, oil painting, cooking, baking and gardening. Bev had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to go shopping with her daughters.  She will be greatly missed by all.
Her bereaved family includes her husband, Allan Schabert of Austin; children, Vicki (John) Helms of Cashmere, Wash., Deborah (John) Olmstead of Godfrey, Ill.; three grandchildren, Sarah Collins of Monticello, Christopher Amerson of Leavenworth, Wash., Garrett Amerson of Edmonds, Wash.; one great-granddaughter, Cynthia Collins; a brother, Eugene Olson of Minneapolis; a sister, Sandra Ramczyk of Minneapolis; step-brothers, Albert Olson and Mark Olson; nieces, nephews and cousins. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerald and a step-brother, Clarence.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 15, 2010 at Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Pastor Dale Christiansen and Pastor Juan Tapia officiating. Friends may call for one hour prior to the service. 
Memorials are preferred to Disabled American Veterans. 
Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
