The ballet leaps into Austin Friday.
The Twin Cities’ James Sewell Ballet performs Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Paramount Theatre, 125 Fourth Ave. NE.
“We’re very excited to have them,” said Scott Anderson, the theater’s manager of operations. “I think it will be spectacular.”
Founded in New York City by James Sewell and Sally Rouse, the ballet company was transplanted to Minnesota in 1992 and is now in its 17th season.
Based in Minneapolis, The James Sewell Ballet’s eight dancers produce an annual spring and fall performance in Minneapolis and St. Paul, and also tour the state.
Tickets are available for $18 for adults and $12 for students at the Paramount Theatre box office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, by phone at 434-0934 and online at www.paramounttheatre.org.
