Packer gymnasts do well at individual state meet

A pair of Austin gymnasts had solid performances at the Class ‘A’ state individual meet at the University of Minnesota Sports Pavilion in Minneapolis Saturday.
Eighth grader Sela Fadness took 10th in the all-around competition and third in the floor exercise and senior Sabrina Snater was 16th in the all-around and eighth in the balance beam.
“They had high expectations coming in and it was a little nerve racking,” Austin head coach Mark Raymond said. “It was a good weekend and we learned a lot as a team.”
Fadness received a medal for her performance on the floor and Snater missed a medal by .15 points on the beam.

All-Around: Sela Fadness (10th, 36.150); Sabrina Snater (16th, 35.255)
Vault: Fadness (22nd, 9.3125); Snater (8.775)
Uneven bars: Fadness (12th, 8.875); Snater (8.45)
Balance beam: Snater (eighth, 9.25); Fadness (18th, 8.75)
Floor exercise: Fadness (third, 9.525); Snater (26th, 8.775)
