Packer boys hit 15 threes in win over Albert Lea

The Austin boys basketball team drilled 15 threes in a 69-59 win at Albert Lea Friday on the road.
The Packers (11-11 overall) led 52-51 when they missed a free throw but Jacob Brehmer pulled down the rebound and scored on a put-back. Joey Swatfagger iced the game when he hit his only three of the night to make it 65-56 with two minutes left.
T.J. Fritz was four-for-seven on threes, Connor Gunderson was six-for-seven on threes, and Matt Duren was four-for-five from deep.
“Albert Lea sat back in their two-three zone and we hit our shots,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said. “T.J. played extremely well and Matt Duren came up big. We had to scratch and claw for this one.”
