Nora Hamilton

Nora B. Hamilton, 99, of Adams died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010 at the Austin Medical Center.
Nora was born Jan. 5, 1911 at Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas and Nina (Ritter) Felper. Nora attended school at Riceville, Iowa. She later moved to the Chester, Iowa and LeRoy, Minn. area. Nora married Roy G. Hamilton at the Central Presbyterian Church in Austin on Feb. 23, 1929. They farmed in the LeRoy, Taopi, Adams and Elkton areas until 1975 when Nora retired and moved to Elkton, Minn. Her husband, Roy, died in 1974. In September of 2005, she moved to the Cedar Court Apartments in Adams and later to the Adams Health Care Center.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Roy and Carol  Hamilton, Stewartville, Minn., Earl and Ruth Hamilton, Dexter, Minn., Peggy Hamilton Queensland, Elkton, Minn.; six grandsons; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; four step-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Edna Felper, Albion, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; one son, Norbert; eight brothers; two sisters; two half-sisters and one half-brother.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Andrew M. Lindahl officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before the service at the church on Friday.
Casket bearers will be Ronald Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Russ Hamilton, Kevin Hamilton, Mark Hamilton and Terry Hamilton. The organist will be Darlene Berhow and the soloist will be Richard Flisrand.
Memorials are preferred to the Westminster Presbyterian Church or the donor’s choice.
The Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
