Lyle/Pacelli boys win seventh straight game

Cody Meyer poured in 26 points as the Lyle/Pacelli boys basketball team beat Alden/Conger (6-11 overall) 66-51 in Pacelli Gym Monday.

The Athletics (12-5 overall) led just 31-28 at the break after Meyer, Michael Lonergan, who scored 10, and Kyle Perault all missed portions of the first half with foul trouble.

L/P used a 16-0 run in the second half to pull away.

“It was hard to get into any kind of offensive or defensive flows with all of the whistles tonight,” L/P head coach Reid Olson said. “It’s a big win within the subsection.”

The Athletics have won seven in a row and they will host Lanesboro (9-5 overall) Friday at 7:30 p.m.
