Kenneth Howard Boysen, 68, died on Friday morning, Feb. 5, 2010, at Seasons Hospice in Rochester, Minn. after a brief illness with cancer.
Kenneth  was born on Sept. 17, 1941, the son of Howard and Merle (Anderson) Boysen in Dodge County, Minn. He graduated from Hayfield High School in 1959, and entered the U.S. Army for three years. Kenneth was united in marriage to Lavonne Louks on May 28, 1966, in Dodge Center, Minn. He worked at SPX in Owatonna for 33 years and retired in 2001. Kenneth enjoyed gardening, the great outdoors, hobby farming and his family and grandchildren.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, LaVonne Boysen, Dodge Center, Minn.; three sons, Jeffrey Boysen, Dodge Center, Minn., Jamie (Stacy) Boysen, Pine Island, Minn. Chad (Kristen) Boysen, Centerville, Minn.; one daughter, Lori (Eric) Lofthus, Dodge Center, Minn.; two grandchildren, Dana and Alyssa Lofthus; two step-grandchildren, Coltan and Luke Runge; two brothers, Harold (Betty) Boysen, Rochester, Minn., Robert (Mary) Boysen, Thornton, Colo.; four sisters, Evelyn (Arnold) Hertle, Rochester, Minn., Dorothy Boysen, Austin, Minn., Darlene (Tim) Legred, Bricelyn, Minn. and Marlene Shafer, Kasson, Minn. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Eugene Boysen; one infant brother; and one infant sister.
The memorial service for Kenneth Howard Boysen will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at the Dodge Center United Methodist Church in Dodge Center with the Rev. Michelle Miller and the Rev. David Helfinstine officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
The family prefers memorials to Disabled American Veterans.
