Jeffery Williams

Jeffery Cole Williams, 62, of Albert Lea, Minn. died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at his home.
Jeffery was born on March 7, 1947 to Paul and Maxine (Hendryx) Williams in Austin. He graduated from Austin High School in 1965. Jeff played on the 1964 State High School Championship baseball team for the Austin Packers. After school, he spent nine years in the United States Air Force. Upon returning from the service, Jeffery worked as an EMT in Austin, and Pinkerton for Hormel. As of late, he had been disabled. Later in life, he enjoyed playing softball and bowling. Jeffery loved sports of all kinds, especially the Twins and Vikings.
Survivors include his brothers, Craig (Vickie) Williams of Blaine, Minn. and Tim Williams and fiancé, Sherry Adams, of Albert Lea; sisters, Paula (Leroy) Tift of St. Cloud, Minn. and Sara (Walt) Stevens of Kasson, Minn.; many nieces and nephews; and close friend, Kim Scott.
Jeffery was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2010 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Wayne Halvorson will officiate. Interment will be at Fort Snelling Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
