Florence L. Saman, 82, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Austin, Minn., died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010 in Garden Court Chateau, Grand Rapids, Minn.
In 1927, Florence was born the daughter of Fred and Laura Yeadon in Riceland Township, Minn.  On August 21, 1948, Florence married Fay Saman in Grand Meadow, Minn.
Florence is survived by: her husband of 62 years, Fay; her daughters, Teresa (Ralph) Pascarella of Port St. Lucie, Flor., Judy Lunde of Minneapolis, Minn., Cindy (Will) Downing of Cohasset, Minn., Anita (Jerry) Bothun of Minneapolis; son, Keenan (Caren) Saman of Beaufort, N.C.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two nieces and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Feb. 8 at 11 a.m. at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids with the Chaplin Craig Carlson officiating. Visitation takes place prior to the memorial, beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
