Cooperative Response Center announces scholarship program

The Cooperative Response Center in Austin announced its scholarship program this week.

The CRC, which also has offices in Dunlap, Tenn., plans to award up to $5000 to area students for the 2010-2011 school year.

Up to three $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to Mower County students. Austin High School and Pacelli High School seniors that will graduate in May and college students attending Riverland Community College who live in the Austin area are eligible to apply. CRC employees and family members of employees are also eligible.

This is the CRC’s second year of funding scholarships. Last year’s Mower County scholarship recipients include Melissa Bauer, Tyler Otteson and Courtney Fleming.

The deadline to apply for the scholarships is Feb. 26. For more information or to receive an application, contact Julie Schramek at 437-2304 or info@crc.coop.
