With five county commissioners serving on the county board for the first time in nearly three months, the board chairman Ray Tucker set committee appointments Tuesday.

The board typically sets new committee appointments at the first meeting of a new year, which would have been Jan. 5. Instead, the board waited to set the appointments after the Feb. 10 special election, when Mike Ankeny was elected as commissioner for the 5th District.

Along with Tucker serving as board chairman, Commissioner David Hillier will continue to serve as vice-chairman. The five commissioners split the duties of serving on more than 25 county committees.
