The Blooming Prairie defense had its way as it topped the Mankato Loyola girls basketball team 48-37 in BP Monday.

The Awesome Blossoms (10-8 overall, 6-4 Gopher) led 23-19 and they held Loyola (2-15 overall) to 31 percent (17-for-55) shooting from the field.
