Benefit snowmobile ride set for Allhiser family

A benefit has been scheduled for the family of Cory Joe Allhiser, an Austin man, 32, who died following a snowmobile accident Monday.

A snowmobile ride will take place Feb. 20, beginning at the Windrift Lounge at 10 a.m. and ending at the American Legion in Lyle, Minn. at 7 p.m. A benefit including raffles, an auction, games and food follow at the American Legion.

Allhiser left behind a fiance, two children and another on the way.

There will be stops on the tour where business owners will make donations, offer auction items and raffles.

A snowmobile ride was planned to celebrate Allhiser’s life, as this is what he loved to do. People are also welcome to follow the snowmobilers in their cars.
