The Blue Devils women’s basketball team stayed aggressive and it paid off in a 65-59 win at Fergus Falls (7-12 overall, 0-5 MCAC South) Wednesday night.

RCC (9-10 overall, 1-4 MCAC South) hit 26-of-32 free throws and Joni Lillo and Krista Viehauser combined for 49 points.

“It was really a nice overall effort,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “Joni and Krista were aggressive and we attacked the basket and everybody else pitched as well with rebounds and steals.”

After trailing 12-5 early on, the Blue Devils scored 19 straight and they led 30-22 at the break.

Viehauser added 10 rebounds and six steals, Brooke Rosenstiel had 11 rebounds and Gretchen Hebrink had five steals.
