Richard Anderson

Richard “Dick” Anderson, 70, died Jan. 4, 2010, in Anoka, Minn.
The son of Edward L. (“Swede”) and Juanita (Estlick) Anderson, Dick was born Oct. 12, 1939, in Austin. He attended Queen of Angels Grade School and Pacelli High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He married Janice Waterbury in 1959. They had three children: Jeffrey, Russell, and Julie, all born in Austin.  
While living in Austin, Dick drove stock cars at Lansing, built by his dad. He moved  his family to the northern suburbs of the Twin Cities, where he worked at many jobs, among them trucking. He was an excellent mechanic. Dick owned and operated his own trophy business in Anoka, Regal Awards. He was a past state officer of the Minnesota Jaycees. 
Dick is survived by his partner of more than 20 years, Mary Line; his sons, Jeff  Anderson,  (Kathy Peck) and Russ Anderson, (Julie);  and his daughter, Julie (Mark) Vanderhoff; one brother, Charles (Linda) Anderson,  Austin; five sisters, Mona Anderson, Dallas, Texas, Diane Floridi, Eau Claire, Wis., Linda Leopold, St. Louis Park, Cindy (Brian) Wesley, Wells and Suzanne (Jon) Brimacomb, Farmington. He is also survived by Mary’s son and daughter, Brian and Kari; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Juanita Anderson; his older brother, Ed Jr., and an infant grandchild.   
A memorial will be held for the immediate family.
