Patricia Fisch Laughlin, 80, passed away peacefully at her home in Fairfax, Va. on Dec. 27, 2009.
She was born July 26, 1929 in Austin, the daughter of Dr. Herbert and Eleanor Fisch.
Patti graduated from Austin High School and attended the College of Saint Catherine and the University of Minnesota. She relocated to the Washington, DC area where she was employed with the Federal government. After marrying John Laughlin, Jr. she settled in Northern Virginia where she raised her family.
Patti was a dedicated Christian who spread her kindness and joy to everyone she met. She instilled her strong sense of devotion to family in all of her children. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and will be remembered for her sparkling eyes and beautiful smile.
She is survived by her children, John Laughlin, Kevin (Joyce) Laughlin, Molly (Jamie) McCarron, Alex (Karen) Laughlin, Mark (Dawn) Laughlin, Tricia (Jon) Bloom; grandchildren, Ashley (Chad) Campbell, Colin McCarron, Sydney Laughlin, Ruby Bloom, Jesse Bloom; and great-grandson, Jackson Campbell. She is also survived by her brother, Dr. Edward Fisch of Austin, Texas; and her sisters, Barbara Gower of Dayton, Ohio, Neenie Jeffers of Raymond, Neb. and Mary Jo Comstock of El Cajon, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gregory Laughlin, Jr. and her brother, Dr. Herbert Fisch of Spring Valley, Minn.
A visitation and mass of Christian Burial was held in Fairfax, Va.
