Patricia Haines

Patricia Ann Haines, 73, of Brownsdale, died at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester Wednesday morning, Jan. 6, 2010. 
She was born April 11, 1936 to Obert K. and Ella M. (Gilbertson) Lee in Austin, where she grew up and attended school. She married Veryl Eugene Haines on Dec. 14, 1952. They made their home in Austin for a short time before moving to Tacoma, Wash. Returning to Austin, Patricia was employed as a cook at Woodvale in Austin and later in Albert Lea before working at the Boys Ranch in Austin for 10 years. Last, she worked at Jim’s Super Valu, retiring in 2005. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, cards, putting together puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Veryl Haines of Brownsdale; one son, Michael Haines (Sandra) of Chicago, Ill.; three daughters, Vicky (Leo) Wold of Mason City, Iowa; Teresa (Ed) Walsh of Brownsdale; Darla Haines of Red Wing; eight grandchildren, William Wold, Amy (Brandon) Foreman, Gayle Haines, Anna (Nick) Halvorson, Katy Wold, Laura Haines, Cory Harpuder, Courtney Thompson; four great-grandchildren, Jade Hanson, Braden Halvorson, Adison Hanson and Kylee Foreman. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and James.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010 at Grace Lutheran Church with Pastor Jeff Forbes officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday at Worlein Funeral Home, Austin, and at the church one hour prior to the service.
