Neva Marie Hilker, 86, of Austin died Friday morning Jan. 29,  2010 at the Sacred Heart Care Center in Austin.
Neva was born Dec. 11, 1923 at Adams, Minn. the daughter of Nels and Laura (Lewison) Quale. She graduated from Adams High School and attended beauty school in Minneapolis with her good friend Jean Lauritzen. She was married to Dale E. Hilker on April 21, 1946 in Sioux Falls S.D. She owned and operated Neva’s Beauty Shop in Austin until her retirement.
Neva was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church, the B.P.O.E. Does and the Austin Hair Dressers Association. 
She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Twins, Vikings and Timberwolves.
Neva was preceded in death by her husband and her brothers.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen and Mark Ramlo, Austin; sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Kenny Knutson, Lakefield, Minn.; sister-in-law, Margaret Quale, Rose Creek, Minn.; many nieces and nephews and extended family, Scott, Tammy, Dan and Alyssa Ramlo of Roscoe, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, 2010  at St. Olaf Lutheran Church with Todd Portinga, AIM officiating. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
