Miriam Eyck

Miriam “Mim” Ten Eyck died on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010 at her home in Baxter, Minn.
The family wishes to thank the staff members of Home Instead Senior Care, Diamond Willow Advanced Care Assisted Living and Trese Lund and Jackie Voges for the companionship and the extraordinary care they provided to Mim while she lived in the Brainerd area.
She is survived by her son, Mark, and daughter-in-law, LaRaye Osborne, of Minnetrista; her three grandchildren, Emily, Andy and Lucy Ten Eyck; her son, David, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Wigand, of Nisswa; her nieces, Kathleen Manatt of Austin, Texas and Margaret Manatt of Boone, Iowa; her cousin, Carolyn (Munn) Herrald of Boone, Iowa; and her second cousin, Ann Christiansen of Omaha, Neb.; Ann’s husband, Dennis, and their two sons, Will and Cole.
Mim was preceded in death by her husband, Frederic “Fritz” Ten Eyck, and her brother, Richard Manatt of Rochester, Minn.
A memorial service for Miriam “Mim” Ten Eyck will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, 1910 Third Ave. NW, in Austin with the Rev. Ralph Colby officiating.
Memorials are preferred to Habitat for Humanity, the Austin Public Library or to the donor’s choice.
Nelson-Doran Funeral Home of Brainerd, Minn. is in charge of arrangements.
