Marcella Carrie Paulson

Marcella Carrie Emma “Marc” Paulson, 93, of Austin died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 13, 2010 peacefully with her loving husband by her side at Our House Senior Living in Austin. 
She was born March 12, 1916 to John and Bertha (Timm) Stender in Wykoff, Minn. She married Millard Paulson on Sept. 24, 1949 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin where they made their home. They were blessed to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary this past September. Marcella worked as a beautician, at Hormel and as a homemaker. She enjoyed playing cards, games, doing quilting, knitting, sewing, needlepoint, baking and cooking. She earned many bowling trophies and liked fishing at Lake Mille Lacs. She was a special “Aunt” who will be greatly missed by many family members and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Millard “Red” Paulson of Austin; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha and John Stender and 14 siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m., Sunday at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and at the church one hour prior to the service.  Interment is at Oakwood Cemetery in Austin.
