Katherine “Kay” Curtis, 71, died Jan. 19, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center.
Kay loved bowling, softball, baseball, and football. She was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings. She was very talented at completing puzzles of all kinds. Katherine loved life and always had a good time.
Kay is survived by her siblings, Diane (Ronnie) Loesch, Eagan, Minn., Rodney Curtis, Las Vegas, Nev., Mark (Bridget) Curtis, Trego, Wis., Brendon (Marianne) Curtis, Forest Lake, Minn., and Gloria Nash (Micheal Guy), Grand Meadow, Minn.; special friend, Dorothy “Kay” Stowers, Des Moines Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Lois Curtis; and brothers, Alan Dean Curtis and Craig Arthur Curtis.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, 4400 Merle Hay Rd., Des Moines. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines.
