Eva Sorenson

Eva Jeanette Sorenson, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2010, at Sunrise Cottages, Rochester. 
She was born July 13, 1928, in Fillmore County, Minn., the 13th child of 17 children of Casper and Cora (Wead) Bremseth. On June 27, 1945, she was united in marriage to Clayton Sorenson in Austin. The couple lived and farmed in the Moscow area their entire marriage. She enjoyed traveling, including trips to the casino, dancing, gardening and playing cards. She especially loved to spend time with her family and cooking for them.
Survivors include her husband, Clayton Sorenson of Austin; six children, Steve (Karen) Sorenson of  Hayward, Lee (Mary) Sorenson of Walshville, Ill., Linda (Jim) Nord of Watertown, Brian (Jan) Sorenson, Annette (Duane) Schuler and  Dean (Sue) Sorenson all of Austin; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Freda Lobland of Rochester, Martha Vogen of Stewartville, Luella Tufte of Rockford, Ill. and Ovedia Bakken of Wycoff; two brothers, Kenneth Bremseth of Hayfield and Richard Bremseth of Rochester; special family member, Jim Johnson of Rochester; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. 
She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 brothers and sisters. 
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at Moscow Lutheran Church, rural Austin with the Rev. Robert Berthold officiating. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1 at the Worlein Funeral Home in Austin and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. 
Honorary casket bearers will be Curtis Sorenson, Doug Martin and James Rosebrock. Casket bearers will be Darrel Sorenson, Matthew Houston, Larry Underdahl, Chris Silber, Tony Tegels, Jessie Sorenson and Pete Underthun. 
Worlein Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
