While the city of Austin and the Austin School Board both chose their legal paper of records Monday, the county chose to postpone their selection until next week.

The Mower County Board of Commissioners chose to table the decision until next week. The county received bids from the Austin Daily Herald, the Austin Post-Bulletin, the LeRoy Independent and the Monitor Review.

The Austin City Council chose to select the Austin Daily Herald as the legal publisher for fairness, and to alternate between the Herald and the Austin Post-Bulletin, which the city selected in 2009.

The Austin School Board selected the Austin Post-Bulletin to be the district’s paper of record.
