The Cardinals boys basketball team started slow in a 55-42 loss at Mabel/Canton Friday.

LeRoy/Ostrander (2-14 overall) scored just two points in the first eight minutes as it fell behind 36-16 at the half.

The Cardinals pulled to within eight in the second half, but couldn’t get any closer to M/C (5-10 overall).

“We played pretty terrible in the first half but we battled back well,” L/O head coach Jason Jude said.
