Austin Community Education is adding two courses to their winter offerings.
Solid Rock Photography presents the two classes using the Apple Snow Leopard operating system and its various programs.
The first class, Apple Basics, covers the differences between Macs and PCs, the Finder, Using Safari or Firefox, Mail, ILife and more.
The focus of the course is photography-related, but it is meant to appeal to a much larger demographic and is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the Apple platform.
The second new class takes the basics one step further, diving into the IPhoto and IWeb programs. Topics in this class include the editing features of IPhoto, IWeb and publishing to Facebook and Flickr.
“These are a great addition to our courses! We look forward to offering them and see how many participate,” said Teri Wermager, Austin Community Education Coordinator, in a press release.
Both of these classes are $50, which includes two hours of interactive instruction and the class notes.
The Apple Basics Class is Feb. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. The IPhoto and IWeb class is Feb. 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.
