When Arden returned from military duty, he began working for Lysne Construction in 1946 where he was office manager for 44 years, retiring in 1990.

He was involved in many other leadership positions in the church throughout his lifetime. His deep Christian faith manifested itself in his actions and in his love for family and friends. He was active in Blooming Prairie Senior Citizens organizations, delivered Meals on Wheels for a number of years and provided transportation for people as needed. Arden loved to play golf and bowl and spent many years pursing these sports to great success. Past president of Blooming Prairie Country Club, he was well respected in the community, receiving several awards for leadership including the Jaycees Distinguished Service Award in 1997.
He and his mother were well known for their beautiful garden which Arden continued at Heather Haus. Arden will be deeply missed by his family who loved him dearly and whom he loved unconditionally.
