Agnes Ihlow

Agnes Jeanne Ihlow, 84, of Austin, Minn., died Wednesday Dec. 30, 2009 at the Adams Health Care Center.
She was born May 19, 1925 in Austin to Clarence and Mary Theresa Walsh.  She was adopted by Alphonso and Frances Murphy.  She grew up  on a farm outside of Lyle, Minn., where she attended school and graduated from high school in 1945.
Agnes married William A. Ihlow, from Faribault, Minn. on June 27, 1950  at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Austin.  They lived in Faribault for three years and then moved to Austin.  William died April 15, 2008. 
Agnes was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading and doing crochet.
She is survived by five children, Winfield (Marcia) Ihlow, Oswego, N.Y., Fred (Mary Beck) Ihlow, Reno, Nev., David Ihlow, Green Bay, Wis., Paul Ihlow and Theresa Ihlow, Austin, Minn.;  five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a brother and sisters-in-law: Roger (Betty) Walsh and Lucille Walsh, of Austin, Minn.
Agnes was preceded in death by her biological parents, her adoptive parents, a daughter-in-law Rene Ihlow a brother, John and two sisters, Virginia and Shirley.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. on Monday at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father John Traufler officiating.  There will be a 4 p.m. CCW Rosary on Sunday evening at Mayer Funeral Home where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday and at the church one hour before the service on Monday.  Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be her children, Winfield Ihlow, Fred Ihlow, David Ihlow, Paul Ihlow and Theresa Ihlow.
