The Packers didn’t have enough offense in a 58-46 loss to Simley’s girls basketball team on the road Tuesday.

Austin (1-5 overall) had 28 turnovers and hit just 31 percent of its field goals. Austin didn’t have any players reach double figures in scoring.

“We’re struggling to score,” Austin head coach Gary Peterson said. “They played a zone and packed it on us.”

The Packers led by eight points early as Simley’s top scorer struggled with fouls, but they trailed 27-25 at the break.

“We needed to build up our lead at that point, but we couldn’t do it,” Peterson said.
