Robert J. (Bob) Titus, 76, died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009.
Robert John Titus was born Feb. 2, 1933 to Clyde and Evelyn (Schuiltz) in Austin. He graduated from Austin High School in 1951 then graduated from Mayo Clinic X-Ray Technician Program. Robert worked for Mayo Clinic for 41 years and retired in 1995. He enjoyed collecting knives and guns, fishing, hunting and motorcycle riding. Robert served in the Navy during the Korean War. He married Shirley Jean Elliott on May 16, 1954 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rochester, Minn.
Robert is survived by his three daughters, Tamara Helgerson and significant other Elmer Labrash, Rochester, Minn., Talli (Ken) Hewlett, Phoenix, Ariz., and Roxanne (James) Palmer, Oronoco, Minn.; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; a brother Charles Titus, Minneapolis; and two sisters, Cathy (Everett) Miller, Austin, and Donna (Vern) King, Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, his daughter, a brother and one sister.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Homes’ chapel. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2009 at Ranfranz and Vine Funeral Home and one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
