Robert Noble

Robert James Noble, 82, of Austin, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at his home.
He was born Jan. 2, 1927 in Mower County to Hanniball and Katherine (Rolland) Noble. He married Bessie Cottrell on Sept. 8, 1945 in Lakewood, N.J.
He served in the US Navy during WWII. Robert is also a retired employee of Hormel Foods.
Robert loved to hunt, fish, play cards, bowl and golf.  He liked to spend time with family and friends.
His is survived by his wife, Bessie, Austin; children, Linda Bumgarner, Austin, Robert Jr. Noble (Lou Jean), Rochester, Thomas Noble (Cynthia), Dodge Center and Lisa Primavera (George) Boca Raton, Fla; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Roger Noble, Austin, Ross Noble, Austin, Janet Bjork (Joe) Embarrass, Minn., Barbara Underland (Gary), Owatonna, Minn. and Judith Beck (Robert), Congor, Minn; a sister-in-law, Irene Noble, Austin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ronald and his sisters, Evylin Duenow and Virginia Tesch.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Pat Toschak officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Mayer Funeral Home and one half hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery with military rites by Adams American Legion Post #146.
Casket bearers will be Eugene Bumgarner, Andrew Noble, Adam Noble, Micheal Noble, Darwin Noble and Amy DelToro.
Mayer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
