Marjorie May Hermanson Graves, 84, of Austin, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009 at Faribault Commons in Faribault, Minn.
She was born May 8, 1925 in London, Minn. to Gilbert and Mary (Allen) Hermanson.
She graduated from Austin High School in the class of 1942 and began working for the Geo. A. Hormel Co. in the Austin Office Accounting Department where she worked until her retirement. She was married to August Olson and later in life she married James McGuire and Arthur “Bill” Graves, all of whom preceded her in death. Marjorie was an avid reader and was a 50 year member of the Women of the Moose Austin Lodge and a volunteer with the Red Cross.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands and a brother, LaVerne Hermanson.
Marjorie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law: Stephen and Ileen Olson, Faribault, Minn., Allen Olson, Owatonna, Minn., Bridget Olson, Owatonna, Minn.; grandchildren, Stephanie Olson, Angela Tamke, Scott Olson, Brandon Olson, Corie Olson, Trevor Olson; great-grandchildren, Bronson Tamke, Ethan Tamke, Kyra Olson, Erika Hollerud, Atlas Olson, Zepplyn Olson; brother and sister-in-law, Donald D. and Carol Hermanson, Alamosa, Colo.; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Jan. 4, 2010 at Clasen-Jordan Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Tamke officiating. Interment will be in Woodbury Cemetery, Lyle, Minn. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. and for one hour before the service on Monday.
Casket Bearers will be, Scott Olson, Brandon Olson, Trevor Olson, Craig Hollerud, Chad Tamke and Marcus Hanson.
Clasen-Jordan Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
