LETTER: Thank you for supporting Scouts
Published 6:18 am Wednesday, December 2, 2009
Boy Scout Troop 109 would like to thank the Austin community that came to the turkey dinner held at Westminister Presbyterian Church last month. We would also like to thank those who donated their time, energy and supplies. We served more than 200 people with almost no leftovers.
The funds that come from the dinner pay for the boys to do outings, activities and camps without having to ask their parents to pay for them to go.
When you see that Cub Scout or Boy Scout working outside on a cold, hot or rainy day, please remember this he is getting ready to be a leader and a man who you can rely on. Please take the time to ask the Scout to tell you his favorite scouting story because each one has a great one.
Troop 109’s Christmas tree lot is now open, as the Scouts are once again selling trees at Ed’s South Main.
There will also be wreaths available for sale at the lot.
Thank you for supporting the Boy Scouts.
